About Me

I am Scott Giddings and I am employed at Girls and Boys Town in Omaha Nebraska. I am also an avid runner.

I have been at Girls and Boys Town since leaving the military in 1997 and am continually in awe of the mission of the home.

It was nearly two years ago that I started wondering what running across Nebraska would be like. After experimenting with some long runs 50K - 50 miles, I decided to take the plunge and commit myself to taking on the state from the Wyoming to Iowa borders. I'll pass by two of Nebraska best known landmarks, Chimney Rock in the west and the village of Boys Town in the east, thus the Landmark Run.

Now that’s what I’m talking about!

    By Scott | March 6, 2007

Spring is my favorite time of year, or should I say Spring like weather is my favorite type of weather. This is what I wait all winter for. A forecast just like this. Winters grasp is slipping away and I can’t wait.

In about 4 months, I’ll be complaining non-stop about the Nebraska heat and humidity. It’s just what I do. Until then I will be relishing the improvements in the weather and looking forward to April.

      Scott:

What an inspiration to all of us. I am a graduate of BT ‘64′ and an active alumni member. Your example is one for the ages and one that will truly unite people to actively participate in taking care of kids. Father Flanagan, would have been very proud to call you his son. You see, you are my brother. Raul
